Captagon: Destroying the frontline drug
It’s the largest haul ever seized, with a road worth of greater than $1bn (£900m) and was adopted by smaller drug raids throughout the Center East, in what seems to be a co-ordinated effort towards the profitable narcotics commerce possible run by the Syrian regime and its allies.
Each the Syrian regime and Lebanese militia Hezbollah have denied involvement within the medication commerce.
The amphetamine, Captagon is used recreationally throughout the Center East however can be taken by fighters who say it provides them a sense of invincibility on the frontlines.
The BBC’s Center East correspondent Quentin Sommerville gained unique entry to the medication’ journey to an incinerator.
