Covid: Tesco workers pay tribute to colleague John Deacy
John Deacy, 81, labored the Christmas Eve shift on the Tesco Additional retailer in Gabalfa, Cardiff, died simply two weeks later.
Buddies and colleagues clapped because the funeral procession glided by the shop.
Former members of a jazz band, fashioned by Mr Deacy within the Nineteen Seventies, marched in entrance of the hearse.
His son, Wayne, 56, stated: “My dad put everybody above himself. He’d do something for anybody.
“He’d assist anybody and would by no means communicate badly of individuals.”
Mr Deacy was within the Royal Marines for seven years and was a semi-professional boxer earlier than beginning a profession on the industrial fuel firm BOC.
He went on to work for the grocery store for 16 years.
“We’ve had hundreds and a great deal of messages from a whole lot of workers which has been very nice,” his son stated.
