SRINAGAR – Dozens of villagers have been lacking in Indian-ruled Kashmir on Wednesday after flash floods destroyed their homes, killing a minimum of 4 folks, officers stated.

Greater than 160 folks have died in India in the course of the previous week because of heavy rains.

The military and State Catastrophe Response Power have joined the search, federal minister Jitendra Singh stated on Twitter, with some 36 folks unaccounted for after the torrents of water swept down a slim valley within the Kishtwar district of Kashmir

Hilly areas in northern India like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are prone to obtain heavy to very heavy rainfall this week, the India Meteorological Division stated.
