Two moms, one Palestinian and one Israeli, whose sons died because of the battle, have been united in friendship after sharing their grief and customary want for peace.

Layla says her child son Qusay died after he grew to become sick when Israeli troopers threw tear gasoline into her village in Bethlehem.

Robi’s son David was learning at college and was a part of the peace motion when he was known as to the reserves. She says he died after being shot by a Palestinian sniper.

Each girls discovered their method to the Mother and father Circle, a joint Israeli-Palestinian organisation made up of people that have misplaced relations within the battle.

In an in-depth interview on his BBC Radio 5 Live show, Colin Murray spoke to Layla and Robi about their experiences, their friendship and their want for peace.

Layla and Robi’s full story was on BBC Radio 5 Dwell Colin Murray at 11pm on 8 June 2021.
