BAGHDAD – An Iraqi courtroom issued Thursday an arrest warrant for outgoing US President Donald Trump over the killing of deputy chief of the Iraqi paramilitary Hashd Shaabi forces in January 2020.
“A decide in Baghdad’s al-Rusafa courtroom in control of investigating the killing of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy chief of Iraq’s paramilitary Hashd Shaabi forces, issued an arrest warrant towards the US President Donald Trump,” the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council mentioned in an announcement.

The decide issued the warrant after listening to the complaints of al-Muhandis’ relations and the completion of the preliminary investigation procedures, in accordance with the assertion.

On Jan 3, 2020, a US drone attacked a convoy close to Baghdad Worldwide Airport that killed Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Power of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy chief of Hashd Shaabi forces.
