“Ac nid dim ond darlledu yn y Gymraeg sy’n llwyddiannus, ond y pentyrrau o dalent yng Nghymru sy’n golygu y gallwn ni gynhyrchu rhaglenni fel Physician Who, Sherlock a’r gweddill sy’n gwneud Cymru yn ganolfan rhagoriaeth mewn darlledu.”

“Ond wrth i ni symud ymlaen a hysbysebu’r swyddi yna, yna rydyn ni’n gweld cenhedlaeth newydd o bobl ym mhencadlys S4C sy’n mynd i roi eu marc ar y lle.”

Pan ofynnwyd i Mr Jones a oedd yn nerfus am allu S4C i lenwi rhai o’r swyddi yna, atebodd: “Dydw i ddim yn besimistaidd.

“Rhaid i ni weithio’n galed i wneud hynny, ac mewn rhai achosion mae’n mynd i gymryd amser i bobl gorllewin Cymru i dderbyn y syniad y gallai fod yna swydd dda ar eu stepen drws yn hytrach na symud i Gaerdydd, Llundain neu le bynnag.

“Dyna’r meddylfryd sydd wedi bodoli ers llawer rhy hir mewn ardaloedd cefn gwlad… bod y trefi bach yn llefydd i symud oddi wrthyn nhw. Mae hynny’n newid diwylliannol mawr yr ydym yn rhan ohono yn y fan hyn.”

Dywedodd Owen Evans mai ei fwriad yw gweithio rhan o’r wythnos yn yr Egin.
