SA Lockdown: Liquor business calls for one more tax break

The business pays the South African Income Providers a mean R2.5-billion monthly in excise tax for regionally produced and imported merchandise.

The tax is being imposed on the level of manufacturing, as regular, regardless of the present ban on alcohol gross sales within the nation.
In July and August 2020 the federal government granted a deferment of no less than R5-billion Rand in excise tax funds.
The business has needed to pay again the tax at a later stage.
