Why are insurgents beheading folks in Mozambique?
All through 2020 the violence in northern Mozambique has been escalating, and
in November greater than 50 folks had been reportedly beheaded by Islamist insurgents.
The insurgency in Cabo Delgado province began in 2017, and the violence elevated after militants pledged their allegiance to Islamic State in 2019.
However why did the insurgency begin within the first place? What makes these fighters so completely different from Boko Haram or Al-Shabab? And is the state of affairs going to enhance?
