Girls’s Out of doors Observe and Discipline All-Convention Alternatives Introduced

The Northeast Convention introduced all-conference honors for outside monitor and discipline, which included Central Connecticut runners in 9 occasions it was introduced on Thursday afternoon by the league workplace. The honorees included junior Angie Rafter and freshman Brooke Morabito who have been named Most Excellent Observe Performer (Distance) and Most Excellent Rookie Performer, respectively, ultimately month’s championships.

Rafter gained gold within the 5000 meter run and the steeple chase to earn All-NEC First Crew honors. She gained the 5k in 17:39.06 and the steeple chase in 10:55.98. Morabito took gold within the 10,000 meter run with a time of 37:44.09 to earn First Crew recognition.

Sophomore Ashley Dana joined them on the primary group after she gained gold within the 1500 meter run. Dana turned in a time of 4:35.14 for the win.

Dana and Morabito each earned spots on the Second Crew as nicely. Dana positioned second within the 800 meter run with a time of two:15.45, whereas Morabito took runner-up honors within the 5K with a time of 17:41.43.

Senior Hailey Rospierski rounded out CCSU honorees on the Second Crew with a spot within the 100 meter hurdles. Rospierski clocked a time of 14.08 for a silver medal end.

Morabito’s performances earned her a spot on the All-Rookie Crew within the 5000 meter and 10,000 meter runs.
